Camp Details

At Longleaf Adventure Camp, campers enjoy hands-on, skill-based experiences that build confidence, teamwork, and resilience through active outdoor exploration.

Each day is different, but campers can expect to take on many of the following adventures:

Skills Blocks

Child Crafting Outdoors

Outdoor Expeditions

Hikers in Forest

Every day includes hands-on outdoor skills training designed for older kids who are ready for real adventure. Campers learn practical wilderness and survival skills like shelter building, fire starting, navigation, knot tying, camp cooking, wildlife tracking, first aid, tool safety, and outdoor preparedness through engaging, age-appropriate challenges.

Adventure comes to life when campers head into the field to put their skills into action. Whether hiking wooded trails, exploring creeks, navigating with maps and compasses, or completing wilderness missions, our outdoor expeditions build confidence, resilience, and a deeper connection with nature.

Team Challenges

Scouts With Map

Outdoor Cooking

Campfire Marshmallow Roasting

Campers work together to solve problems, complete missions, and tackle outdoor obstacles through collaborative team challenges. These activities encourage leadership, communication, creativity, and perseverance while helping campers form strong friendships and learn how to support one another.

Campers learn the basics of outdoor cooking by preparing their own trail snacks and campfire treats using simple tools and outdoor cooking techniques. From roasting and baking over a fire to creating no-cook backpacking snacks, these hands-on activities teach teamwork, responsibility, and practical outdoor skills — with plenty of tasty rewards along the way.

Arts and Crafts

Arranging Wildflowers

Adventure Games

Kids Running Outdoors

Creativity is part of every adventure. Campers create nature-inspired crafts, survival gear, trail journals, camp flags, carved projects, and other hands-on art activities using natural and recycled materials. These projects give campers a chance to slow down, express themselves, and bring home meaningful creations from their week outdoors.

Our camp blends outdoor learning with nonstop fun through high-energy games and adventure-based activities. From scavenger hunts and capture-the-flag to survival races and team missions, campers stay active, engaged, and challenged throughout the day.
