With more than 15 years of experience working in schools, camps, and youth programs, owner and lead teacher Ms. Sarah has dedicated her career to creating engaging, supportive spaces where children can learn, grow, and build confidence.

As a teacher, Scout leader, and camp director, she has worked with children of all ages and understands the unique challenges families face when searching for meaningful track out experiences for older kids. After seeing many children outgrow traditional camp environments, she set out to create a program that feels age-appropriate, exciting, and enriching — one that balances fun, independence, creativity, and connection.

At Longleaf Adventure Camp, we believe older kids deserve more than traditional childcare and one-size-fits-all camp experiences. Our program was created specifically for children who have outgrown typical camps but still need a place where they can explore, connect, create, and belong during track out.

As kids grow, they often need something different than traditional camp programs offer. They want more independence, more meaningful activities, stronger friendships, and opportunities to stretch themselves in new ways. Our program is built specifically to meet those needs and to engage and challenge these kids.

Through outdoor exploration, hands-on projects, team activities, games, and creative experiences, we aim to create a space where kids feel welcomed, capable, and inspired.

We’re not just filling time during track out. We’re building a community where growing kids can continue to learn, explore, and thrive.
